Users of Display & Video 360 will soon be able to launch ads on Netflix as one of the available placements. The official Google Marketing Platform announced thise on social media, referencing a Netflix report.
At the start, ad purchases on Netflix will be available in the US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. The rest of the world will have to wait a few months, so let’s review the announced features before we can test them with our clients.
- Display & Video 360 will allow advertisers to make direct deals for ad placements on Netflix. By November, guaranteed deals are expected, which could be very timely for the Black Friday season.
- Campaign Manager 360 will be able to verify impressions, check for fraud, and record viewability. This solution is expected to be available across all buying channels by October.
In addition to Google Marketing Platform tools, the announcement also mentions ad purchases through The Trade Desk and Xandr, as well as viewability verification via Innovid.
